Extreme Networks MGBIC-ZX-80 compatible optical transceiver is a dual fiber 125Mbps Small Form-factor Pluggable SFP module for use in 100BASE Ethernet network. SFP ZX provides 125Mb/s throughput up to 80km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1550nm wavelength. This transceiver is fully compliant with SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), IEEE 802.3 100BASE-ZX and SERDES standard. Its electrical interface is MSA compliant 20-pin edge type connector and the optical interface is Duplex LC connector. The full-duplex SFP transceiver features highly reliable DFB transmitter and PIN photo detector to offer high performance interconnection at 125Mbps data rate. Built-in Digital Diagnostic Monitoring/Digital Optical Monitoring (DDM/DOM) support is present for real-time performance monitoring via 2-wire (TWI/I2C) interface. Our modules are factory pre-programmed for compatibility, perform alternatively to genuine Extreme Networks MGBIC-ZX-80 transceivers.
