The QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable-Double Density) is the form factor of the highest-speed interconnection product commercially available today. The main applications cover 200/400/800G and various breakout solutions. This package type has several characteristics:

QSFP-DD maintains the same cross-section as QSFP, that is, the port density is the same, and the overall bandwidth is increased by 4/8 times.
The electrical interface is doubled to 8 lanes, up to 200Gbps using 25Gbps NRZ signaling, up to 400Gbps using 50Gbps PAM4, and up to 800Gbps using 100Gbps PAM4 signaling.
Inherits from the QSFP package. The gold finger interface is in the same order as QSFP and multiplied, so the connector interface has forward compatibility and can accommodate existing QSFP optical fiber modules/DAC/AOC.
The QSFP-DD cage adds heat dissipation considerations, which can effectively remove the 12W heat generated from a single module, and meet the practical capabilities of direct-connect cables, active cables, active optical cables, multi-mode and single-mode optical fiber modules.
